James is a certified architect and has been supporting, training, and working with the latest Autodesk software for over 14 years. Experienced in Autodesk building design solutions, he is positioned to offer training and support from the fundamental level up to advanced and custom training.
James is committed to the education, support, and implementation of building information modeling (BIM) processes, and visualization. He has worked for and with architectural companies and understands not only the day-to-day requirements of the job but also the success of efficiently implementing advanced design technology.
James has been a project manager for various projects including academic, federal government, and commercial and retail development. His additional knowledge of graphic design provides another level of expertise when customers require the ability to present their projects at a visual level not provided by basic drawings and models.

Napkin BIM – Building Upon Solid Modeling
We will explore the workflows of modeling solid objects with particular emphasis on utilizing the solid model to continue BIM workflow.
1. Engage with solid modeling as a conceptual design tool
2. Understand solid modeling as BIM-based conceptual design
3. Import solid models into parametric modeling software to continue the BIM workflow
4. Engage with solid modeling as a conceptual real-time collaboration tool
